One-Take Wonder: “Lord I’ve Tried” Filmed Entirely by our Drone Pilots on the Inspire 3
Every now and then a project comes along that pushes the boundaries of what’s possible with aerial cinematography.
“Lord I’ve Tried” by KWN is one of those films.
Shot completely in one take, this piece demanded precision flying, perfect coordination, and a camera system capable of delivering high-end cinema quality while remaining agile enough to move like a dancer.
So we brought out the DJI Inspire 3 and it delivered!
Why the Inspire 3 Was the Perfect Choice
This project wasn’t just a drone shot it was a continuous narrative move.
Long takes expose every technical weakness:

The creative brief from Single Channel Films and director Chris Chance was ambitious:
“A single, uninterrupted drone shot that follows the artist from start to finish. Clean, emotional, and dynamic.”
That meant:

No stitching
One take, one opportunity
Our drone team dialled in the choreography:
Pilot Jack Smith navigating the motion/speed with precision, and Gimbal Operator Alfie Peter shaping composition, framing, horizon, and transitions in real time.
