As your UK fixer, we bring locations, permits, local crew, camera, lighting and drone kit, transport and on-set support together under one team. When your production lands, the shoot is ready to roll. We work with TV, film and commercial productions, and we're open 7 days, 8am–10pm (24/7 on advance notice).
What our fixers handle
- Locations and recces: we find, scout and secure locations in London and across the UK, and send you photos and notes before you fly.
- Filming permissions: we deal with borough film offices and landowners, and coordinate with the police when a shoot needs a road or pavement closure.
- Drone filming: our in-house CAA-licensed drone pilots plan the flights and handle the permissions for aerial work.
- Local crew: DOPs, camera operators, ACs, sound recordists, runners and drivers through our camera crew hire.
- Camera, lighting and grip: straight from our own kit room, including cinema cameras, cine lenses and film lighting, with same-day delivery across London.
- Catering: on-set catering and craft services to keep cast and crew fed and on schedule.
- Transport: our own unit vehicles for kit and crew.
- Production management: schedules, call sheets, risk assessments and an on-set point of contact from prep to wrap.
Filming permits in London
Permissions are our home turf. Flying drones over central London means getting permissions right every time. Our in-house CAA-licensed pilots work within SORA-approved frameworks. We handle CAA permissions and airspace approvals ourselves, from city-centre and restricted zones to iconic landmarks; we even secured the airspace to shut down Waterloo Bridge for an aerial shoot. We work alongside borough film offices, so ground permits for your crew are routine for us. And we carry £10M public liability.
London has no single film permit. Each borough runs its own filming permissions, and parks, landmarks and private estates have their own landowners and rules. Small crews working handheld have more flexibility. Tripods, lighting, unit vehicles and bigger crews usually need permission, and any road or pavement closure has to be coordinated with the police. Aerial shots also need CAA-compliant flight planning and the landowner's agreement. Meet your fixer: Dhruv Bhatnagar, Head of Production
Dhruv leads production at Moonshine Film. He scopes and runs shoots for visiting and UK productions. He studied Directing Commercials at the National Film and Television School (2025) and directed the independent feature A Winter's Lion, so he knows what a director needs from the ground.

What does a film fixer do?
A fixer is your local producer on the ground. They find and secure locations, sort the permissions, hire local crew and kit, and solve problems on the day, so a visiting production can shoot without delays.
Do I need a permit to film in London?
Usually, yes. Anything beyond a very small handheld crew normally needs permission. The rules depend on the borough and the location, and road or pavement closures need police coordination. Tell us your locations and we'll advise.
Do you charge a production service fee?
No. As a full-scale rental house, our equipment hire covers those costs, so that budget stays on screen.
Can you arrange drone filming in London?
Yes. Our in-house CAA-licensed drone pilots handle the flight planning and permissions for aerial work.
Can you supply crew and equipment as well?
Yes. We're a camera, lighting and drone rental house with our own crew, so kit and people come from one team, with same-day delivery across London.
