Rent ARRI with Moonshine Film
Dry Hire or Kit & Crew Services.
London has always been a proving ground for cinema-grade production, and at the centre of that world sits ARRI. The camera system trusted by DoPs on everything from feature films to shorts. At Moonshine Film, our Pimlico-based rental house pair every camera hire with the crew, kit and production support to get it on set and working efficiently.
Here's a look at how our ARRI rental services work, what's included and how the same cinema-grade systems now power our Micro Drama Production through Moonshine Vertical.
Our ARRI Camera Range
ARRI Alexa 35

The Alexa 35 is a core cinema camera for London and UK productions. It runs ARRI's newest 4K Super 35 sensor, giving roughly 2.5 stops more dynamic range than the previous generation, stronger low-light performance and ARRI's REVEAL Colour Science for natural and filmic tones. The modular LPL mount opens it up to S35, full-frame and stills lenses, so DOPs aren't locked into one format.
Every Alexa 35 package leaving our Pimlico base comes fully built and tested: body, MVF-2 viewfinder, handheld grips, 15mm and 19mm rods, a full cable set, Codex reader + drives and B-Mount batteries with charger.
It's available as a dry hire or as part of a wet hire package with one of our camera operators attending.
ARRI Alexa 35 Xtreme

For productions that need speed as well as image quality, we also stock the Alexa 35 Xtreme. It shares the same 4.6K Super 35 sensor and colour science as the standard 35, but adds high-frame-rate hardware (up to 330fps at full dynamic range and up to 660fps in Sensor Overdrive mode for extreme slow motion.) Along with ARRI's new ARRICORE codec for lighter data rates without sacrificing grading flexibility. It's built for narrative, commercial, action-sport and VFX work.
ARRI Alexa Mini LF

Where a shoot calls for a large-format look in a smaller footprint (handheld, gimbal or Steadicam work in particular,) we offer the Alexa Mini LF. It carries a 4.5K large-format sensor in the compact Mini body, with internal motorised NDs, a high-contrast OLED viewfinder and a native LPL mount that also takes PL lenses, via adapter. Packages include the body, MVF-2 viewfinder, handheld grips, Ignite Digi Movi Pro-ready plates, Codex media and TB50 batteries, all prepped before collection or delivery.
Across all three cameras, our approach is the same: everything is hand-packed by filmmakers, tested and cleaned between hires and if a project needs cross-hired lenses, wireless focus systems or a lighting package to go with the camera we build that around the booking.
Kit & Crew: Wet Hire Done Properly
Camera hire is only half the job as most productions that come to us want the crew attached too. Moonshine Film operates as a wet hire company first, pairing our ARRI kit with experienced, London-based DoPs, camera operators, 1st ACs and 2nd ACs. Our all-in packages range from single crew add-ons up to full Camera Unit + narrative weekly hires, commercial packages, documentary crews and interview setups. All built around the same core kit list, including the Alexa 35 and Alexa Mini LF.
Kit and Crew arrive together, prepped and ready. We run seven days a week, 08:00–22:00, with out-of-hours support available on notice - useful for productions with early call times or tight turnarounds. If you only need a single role, that's fine too; we'll tailor a package around a DoP, 1st AC or 2nd AC on their own rather than insisting on a full unit.

Beyond the camera department, Moonshine production services extend to drone piloting (CAA-licensed and SORA-approved), EPK crews for behind-the-scenes content and full production support for productions that need a London fixer on the ground.
Vertical Drama | Shot on the Same ARRI Cameras
Another branch includes Moonshine Vertical. Our vertical and micro-drama production arm. Vertical drama is shot and delivered in portrait orientation for mobile viewing, with shorter scripts and faster turnarounds.
Every Moonshine Vertical shoot runs on the same ARRI systems. The Alexa 35 and Alexa Mini LF, reframed for 9:16 delivery.
That's really the point of the vertical arm: portrait orientation and short-form pacing don't have to mean a drop in cinematic quality. Running ARRI glass and sensors through the vertical pipeline gives these series the same highlight roll-off, dynamic range and colour science as a feature, just reformatted for a phone screen.
