UK production insurance for shoots organised from overseas
Moonshine can help eligible productions access cover through our production insurance arrangements, working with Performance Insurance.
This service is particularly useful for international production companies that are not domiciled in the UK and need local production support, alongside our UK fixer services and film equipment hire.
What cover can include
Depending on your production and the policy terms, cover can include:
- Equipment insurance
- Producers’ indemnity
- Public liability
- Additional cover tailored to the production’s requirements
We handle the paperwork and the claims
Our team coordinates the insurance administration and, should a claim arise, manages the claims process with the insurer on your behalf.

Premium plus handling fee
The cost comprises the applicable insurance premium plus a handling fee of 25% of the premium or £100, whichever is higher. This reflects the administration involved and Moonshine’s responsibilities as policyholder.
All cover is subject to insurer approval, policy terms, exclusions and excesses. The client is responsible for the applicable policy excess and any costs not covered by the policy, as set out in the production agreement.
